Five Data Points That Shape a Useful Response.

The more specific the brief, the tighter the press shortlist. A reply with a rough TCO band and a demo slot typically lands within 3 business days when all five inputs are provided.

INPUT 01 / VOLUME

Monthly Impression Volume

Target A4 or B2 impressions per month, separated by job type if mix varies. Volume class (Entry-Mid / Mid-High / Industrial / Ultra) drives engine selection before sheet size or colour count.

INPUT 02 / SUBSTRATE

Substrate Mix

GSM range for coated / uncoated stock, film gauges in microns (PE / PP / PET / PLA), and any carton above 400 µm. Substrate list is what qualifies ElectroInk primer selection.

INPUT 03 / COLOUR

Pantone / Spot Colour Pressure

Share brand-owner Pantone count, any requirement for White / Silver / Invisible Yellow, and whether Delta-E < 2 is contractually required. Drives 4-colour vs 7-colour press configuration.

INPUT 04 / WORKFLOW

Pre-Press & Finishing Workflow

MIS / MES / ERP in use (PrintOS, Esko, GMG, Kodak), RIP platform, and finishing line constraints. Dictates PrintOS API scope and JDF / JMF integration depth.

Install Site & Service Postcode

Install address and postal code determine next-business-day vs 48–72 hour service-tier eligibility and define which regional parts depot supports the installation.

RESPONSE / WHAT YOU GET

The Written Response

A written press shortlist (typically 1–3 series), a preliminary TCO band at the declared shift pattern, a demo-centre scheduling proposal, and a flagged list of substrates that require a qualification trial before production commitment.

KNOWN LIMITS / PLEASE NOTE

What We Cannot Answer From a Form Alone.

Binding price. Final press price depends on colour configuration, Digital Priming Station, inline finishing and regional taxes — only a formal quote from the local HP Indigo commercial team is binding.
Novel substrate certification. Stocks outside the published GSM / micron range require a demo-centre trial and ElectroInk primer qualification; we cannot commit to colour or adhesion results from a datasheet alone.
Competitor TCO comparisons. We publish our own cost-per-sheet basis at 3-shift utilization; head-to-head TCO against non-HP platforms is best done with your finance team using audited billing data, not marketing figures.
Export-control markets. Some configurations are subject to export controls; the commercial team confirms availability per destination country before contract.
